ParentPay Group today announced the acquisition of GDPR In Schools Limited (“GDPRiS”), an established provider of cloud-based data protection compliance solutions for schools.

ParentPay Group is a long-term leader and innovator in the edtech sector. Across the UK and internationally, many thousands of schools and millions of parents trust ParentPay to provide them with the technology they need for cashless payment, parental engagement, catering, library, and management information systems.

GDPRiS was founded in 2017 by the late Lynne Taylor, also the founder of ParentPay. It provides a pragmatic, simple and intuitive approach to complying with GDPR regulatory requirements.

GDPRiS combines a best-of-breed cloud software tool that supports and carries out much of the necessary routine work of GDPR compliance, with support services, resources and CPD-accredited training courses to help schools with the complex questions and requirements that come from the diverse laws by which schools are bound.

The GDPRiS tools and services help schools save significant time each year, while being confident that their data protection protocols are up to standard.

This acquisition adds to ParentPay Group’s existing capabilities that enable the efficient and low cost running of schools.

Lewis Alcraft, Group Chief Executive at ParentPay Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome the GDPRiS team to ParentPay Group, adding another industry leading cloud product to our collection of school software solutions. ParentPay Group is a natural home for this technology, as we work to provide further value to our customers.”

Alexander Banthien, Managing Director at GDPRiS said: “We’re excited to be joining the ParentPay Group and the opportunity this presents to continue our journey in assisting schools with their GDPR compliance.”
