Scotland Excel recommends ParentPay

07 Oct 2015

ParentPay are pleased to announce our status as an approved supplier on this important new Framework.

Scotland Excel is a collaborative procurement organisation acting on behalf of all 32 Scottish local authorities. Around 682,000 pupils attend Scotland’s state primary and secondary school estate of around 3,000 schools

The Scotland Excel framework for an online system for managing school payments is helping to realise the ambitions of the Scottish Government’s Digital Future Strategy published in 2012.

ParentPay® is a web based service for schools that enables parents to make secure online payments by credit and debit card or pay cash at local PayPoint stores.

The solution is used to collect and reconcile income for a variety of items including school meals, trips, clubs and extra-curricular activities.

ParentPay will help manage Universal Free School Meals for P1 to P3 with bespoke reports designed for the initiative in Scottish schools.

Clint Wilson, Chief Executive of ParentPay was delighted with the news:

“ParentPay went through a rigorous selection process before being awarded a place on the framework. The comprehensive criteria we were required to meet ensures Scottish schools will get the very best value from a robust, tried and tested system.”

“By removing cash from schools, ParentPay is proven to save valuable time for school staff whilst offering parents peace of mind. Our projects in other authorities have also delivered significant efficiency savings.”

Clint added: “We’re the safe pair of hands trusted by nearly 5,000 schools across 200 local authorities. By combining our significant experience, an unrivalled breadth in product, and bespoke developments for Scottish customers, we’re looking forward to helping many more schools in Scotland reduce their transaction processing costs by a significant margin.”
