Employee Stories – Dickon Gray

This month we interviewed Dickon Gray who works remotely for ESS. Here’s how he described working with ParentPay Group.

What is your name and job title?

I am Dickon, Head of Product Design and Research. I joined the company 7 months ago, so still new.

How would you summarise what you do?

I focus on setting teams up for success by nurturing talent and creating safe environments. This allows teams to be creative, learn without fear, be guided by data and deliver value to the business and customer/user.

The team I currently lead works across product design, user research, market research and analytics with product designers working in the product and researchers working outside of those teams.

Have you worked for any notable internationally recognised companies?

During my career I’ve worked in-house and agency side with a variety of organisations including Pfizer, Fidelity International, RSA, EDF and more. As a leader, I specialise in delivering successful human-centred digital experiences, scaling design and guiding teams through change in complex environments.

How was your transition to the ParentPay Group?

The company have been welcoming and supportive helping me get up to speed in the industry and business which enables me to be successful in my role in scaling design and research.
