ParentPay and BBC Children in Need Announce Partnership Extension

ParentPay Limited, the UK market leader in online payments for schools, and BBC Children in Need, have announced an extension to their partnership for the charity’s 2020 Appeal.

The partnership, which began in 2019, will continue to support the fundraising efforts of thousands of schools and millions of families across the UK, by providing a secure and convenient alternative for managing large volumes of cash donations.

Following the success of last year’s initiative, which saw £110,000 raised through donations via ParentPay, the partnership will support school fundraising events, making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people across the UK.

The Primary Schools campaign will see the launch of ‘Five to Thrive’: a unique programme of wellbeing activities for Appeal week inspired by the Five Ways to Wellbeing*.

The Five to Thrive campaign, delivered by celebrity supporters Joe Wicks, Doctor Radha, and the Blue Peter team, aims to enrich the lives of students and support their wellbeing at such a difficult time.

This year also sees the launch of the Secondary Schools campaign: ‘Come as Yourself Day’. The campaign will encourage secondary students across the UK to come to school dressed in what makes them feel comfortable and most like them on Appeal day.

Claire Hoyle, Commercial Director at BBC Children in Need, commented: “We’re delighted to be partnering with ParentPay once again. At this difficult time, it’s so important to us to make it as easy as possible for schools and parents to get involved in fundraising for BBC Children in Need. Parents are able to make donations easily and safely through ParentPay, which will go on to support children and young people facing disadvantages across the UK.”

Mark Brant, ParentPay Chief Executive, said: ’’We’re delighted to be able to continue to directly support BBC Children in Need and the fundraising efforts of thousands of schools across the UK’’.

Mark added: ’’At such a difficult time for many, the work of Children in Need has never been more important. We’re proud to be able to help the charity raise vital donations that will undoubtedly help change the lives of children and young people most in need. And have no doubt that our customers will respond with incredible generosity once again’’.
