Intrepid pair cycle from Africa to Yorkshire for Kenyan school

07 Oct 2015

Memusi are a charity set-up over 10 years ago to help build schools in Africa and ParentPay are proud to be one of their supporters.

Two long standing Memusi supporters are doing a '2 million revolutions from home' tandem bike ride from Africa to Yorkshire; 1700 miles, 14 days, raising money to build the infant school in Kenya that will have a 'ParentPay' built and equipped classroom.

Bernie Hollywood (O.B.E) & his cycling partner Jon Alexander plus his 6 strong support crew set off for North Africa on Tuesday 12th June and we at ParentPay will be supporting them all the way.

Bernie & Jon want to raise enough funds to build a new infant school in Kenya for the Memusi Foundation which will provide an education for over 200 children for the very first time when their school opens in February 2016. Anyone wishing to help this fantastic cause and help raise £50,000, can donate through Just Giving.

Their journey took them through 4 countries: Morocco, Spain, France & UK across the Toledo & Pyrenees mountain ranges covering over 1,700 miles & 2 Million Revolutions in over 40 degrees of heat - incredible! Help them continue this great work: Just Giving
