ParentPay CEO, Clint Wilson, has today revealed that iRoundUp, the charitable giving initiative recently rolled out across the ParentPay platform, has successfully raised more than £42,000. The money has been donated to Wallace & Gromit's Children's Charity.

iRoundUp was originally conceived by five teenagers from Skinners’ Academy in Hackney, East London, who won the Mosaic Enterprise Challenge Competition, a schools-based business mentoring programme of Mosaic, a mentoring initiative of The Prince’s Trust. Used across the entire ParentPay platform, the scheme rounds up payments made to schools to the nearest pound, with the excess being donated to charity.

Wallace & Gromit's Children's Charity, the first charity to benefit from the innovative iRoundUp scheme, raises funds to improve the lives of sick children in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK.

The charity supports hundreds of projects providing life-saving medical equipment, free family accommodation, arts, music and play therapy programmes, sensory equipment and facilities and respite care

Receiving the cheque, Helen Haskell, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity, said: “We’re overwhelmed by the success of iRoundUp and the generosity of parents using ParentPay. The students at Skinners’ Academy should be very proud. Their ingenuity will allow us to make a huge difference to sick children and their families in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK, and we’re truly grateful for that.”

Clint Wilson, ParentPay CEO added: “iRoundUp brings the power of a digital charity box to school payments, allowing students and their families to donate. This cheque demonstrates the difference that donating even small amounts can make to other people’s lives.”

Skinners’ Academy Principal, Tim Clark commented: “It is so pleasing to see parents are making contributions and shows what a brilliant idea iRoundUp is. Our five students are a credit to the Academy and reflect the world class education we provide based on our culture of high expectation for every student.”
