iRoundUp charity fundraising launches on ParentPay
The award-winning charity fundraising idea, iRoundUp, developed by students during a national entrepreneurship competition from Mosaic, The Prince’s Trust mentoring charity, enables parents to add a charity donation whilst paying on ParentPay.
Five students from Skinners Academy in Hackney, East London won the 2015 Mosaic Enterprise Challenge, with their Dragon’s Den style pitch with iRoundUp, based on rounding up small amounts on ParentPay to raise money for charities.
How does iRoundUp work?
iRoundUp is simple. Whenever a parent makes a payment online via ParentPay, they have the option to add a small donation to their basket, before completing their payment.
Which charities will iRoundUp support?
Charities will be chosen by a panel chaired by ParentPay, which includes: students from Skinners Academy; The Skinners’ Company, the London livery not-for-profit company which fosters education and supports charitable causes; and Mosaic, The Prince’s Trust mentoring charity.
The charities chosen will support children and young people across the UK.
How are the iRoundUp donations used?
88.45% of each donation will go to the chosen charity, to be used in delivering support to children and young people in the UK.
5% will go to Mosaic, The Prince’s Trust mentoring Charity, to directly support their programs with young people in the UK.
5% will go to The Skinners’ Company, the not-for-profit London livery company, to directly support their programs helping young people in the UK.
ParentPay is donating the Payment Service Fee* from the first £1 Million collected via iRoundUp to Mosaic, The Prince’s Trust mentoring charity.
No admin charges are deducted from the amounts being donated.
*ParentPay deducts a Payment Service Fee of 1.29% + VAT from the donation amount
