FSM reminders can be set to aid school managers in prompting parents to renew their entitlement before expiry. Our ParentPay Communication Centre makes it easy for schools to communicate with parents by letter, email and text message.
Automating FSM Management
Our FSM administration system is refreshed with the school MIS data automatically, to make sure all aspects of free school meals are kept up to date.
FSM eligibility is applied automatically to pupils, so that manual intervention for FSM pupils is not required. Pupil accounts still record the meals taken and the FSM entitlement is shown as a transaction. This allows caterers to accurately report on the total number of meals taken as well as the number FSM meals served.
Caterers and schools can easily check the value of FSM meals taken over a given period which helps with invoicing and recoupment reporting.
If FSM eligibility is backdated, the retrospective adjustments can be calculated and applied automatically.
