FSM allocation for schools using Cashless Catering Tills: Most LBBD schools use a Nationwide Cashless Till. Please remember to check your FSM allocations are correct in ParentPay in readiness for the start of the new term. If your allowance is changing in September 2017 you will need to update the FSM Allowance on ParentPay to ensure this allowance is reflected at till level.
UiFSM (Universal Infant Free School Meals)
ParentPay introduced changes to the system to ensure that Infant and Primary Schools in England and Scotland are able to manage the UIFSM requirements in line with the current legislation. Updates to the system include UIFSM reporting, in addition to the existing FSM and Paid Meals reporting features that schools already had.
UIFSM pupils are identified automatically when schools record attendance and the UIFSM entitlement is attributed unless the Infant aged pupil has already been identified as a free meal / pupil premium pupil.
Schools need to take no action to identify UIFSM pupils via the ParentPay system on their return to school in September. ParentPay will automatically identify any Infant aged pupils THAT DO NOT HAVE A FSM FLAG as a UIFSM pupil.
- Schools are advised to only order PayPoint cards for cash based families. Cards are not needed if a pupil is on Free School Meals.
- PayPoint card will be billed to the school (£1.50 each), this cost may be passed on to the payer at the discretion of the school.
