Online meal booking and menu selection for schools reduces administration burden

Caterers can choose to allow parents to pre-order and book meals for specific days and to include their child’s meal choice selection in the booking.

ParentPay Dinner Money’s online meal booking and menu selection for schools significantly reduce dinner money administration and lessen the burden on the school office and catering staff.

Parents book meals from the calendar in their secure online account, and if required by the caterer, indicate the meal selection for their child. Online school menus are configurable so caterers can decide which menu choices need to be selected and which can be chosen on the day.

Meal choice reports available online

Once parents have booked online, the data is available to school and in central reports for caterers, significantly reducing administration compared to manual pre-selection.

It provides caterers with valuable data for dramatically improving the efficiency of their production planning.

Cut-off dates for online meal booking

The caterer can configure their booking policy to ensure that orders reach the kitchen or production unit in plenty of time. The booking calendar shows parents which days are already locked due to the cut-off date, school holidays or INSET days.

Parents can review their existing bookings and menu selections online and edit/change bookings before the cut-off date if required.
