Latest enhancement puts parental engagement and home-school communications at the forefront of platform development
Launched at BETT today, the Parent Communication Centre™ is designed to further enhance parental engagement by
extending the award winning online payment and income management solution from ParentPay.
This latest addition to the ParentPay suite of solutions uses email and text messaging to help schools enhance
communication with parents while reducing costs and administration.
Extending the existing mail merge features, it allows schools to send payment requests, up to date dinner money
balances, debt reminders, and information about trips and events.
In addition, schools can use the Parent Communication Centre™ to send messages for emergency closure days, or
even the school newsletter. Messages are easily configured for sending to all parents, groups of parents,
or an individual family.
Schools can opt to print, email, text or a combination of these, depending upon the importance and urgency
of the message, helping to minimise costs.
The announcement comes just weeks after ParentPay released its ‘My alerts’ feature for parents – allowing
them to opt in to automated emails when a new item requires payment or when dinner money balances reach a
chosen limit – ensuring their children never go hungry.
The ‘My alerts’ feature will soon have text messaging added so that parents can select the communication
method that best suits them.
“We’re always looking for new ways to help our schools and parents get more from our system. These latest
developments will help schools save time and money.” commented Clint Wilson, ParentPay Chief Executive.
“Giving schools flexible communication methods delivers a more convenient service for parents and will
increase responsiveness for schools.”
