Web Application Developer

Home based in Midlands – East Midlands preferred, some regional travel required
Job role outline:
Reporting to the Development Director you will be working primarily from home with some travel to East Midlands and
Warwickshire based offices.
The role involves core development of the ParentPay web application as a part of the existing
software development team.
The successful candidate will have at least 1 year experience developing with .NET framework,
either VB.NET or C# or both (VB is preferred). A reasonable knowledge of SQL is required as well
as at least 1 year experience of html development. Graduate level qualified, the candidate will
also be proficient developing using Microsoft Visual Studio.
Ideally the candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of and proficiency in many of the following:
- experience of asp.net development
- understanding of object-oriented programming
- experience of using source control software
- experience of full project lifecycle
The ideal and successful candidate will be an analytical thinker with demonstrable quality
problem solving skills. Experience of remote working would be beneficial and exemplary
organisation skills are critical with the ability to self manage on a daily basis and to document
one’s own work.
Working within a small team in a pressured, rapidly evolving business the individual will need
to be enthusiastic, with great personal motivation ensuring deadlines and objectives are met
without constant management guidance.
Good communication skills with quality written English are required as well as a proficiency with
office and email software.
The post is primarily home based although will require some regional travel; own transport and
willingness to travel are therefore essential.
CV and professional references are essential. Selection process for shortlisted candidates will
include testing of programming and problem solving skills.
Salary in the range £20k - £30k dependent upon the individual and past experience.
Term time / flexible contracts could be available.
